My Music Culture
Hello there! My name is Quiana Suber. I grew up in a small, country town called Mountville (about 10 minutes from the city of Clinton, South Carolina). Music has been apart of my life since I was old enough to be apart of my church youth choir. I attend an African Methodist Episcopal Church located in Newberry, SC. We did a lot of fast tempo songs that were very energic. The more slower tempos sounded better for the adults 😂. The fundamentals of music I learned there helped shape my listening ear to music in general. Music to me means something that I can relate to. Although I am open to hearing new music of different cultures, the little things attract me. I love for the music to take me on a roller coaster of thought and enhance my view of the culture.
