My Music Culture

 Hello there! My name is Quiana Suber. I grew up in a small, country town called Mountville (about 10 minutes from the city of Clinton, South Carolina). Music has been apart of my life since I was old enough to be apart of my church youth choir. I attend an African Methodist Episcopal Church located in Newberry, SC. We did a lot of fast tempo songs that were very energic. The more slower tempos sounded better for the adults 😂. The fundamentals of music I learned there helped shape my listening ear to music in general.  Music to me means something that I can relate to. Although I am open to hearing new music of different cultures, the little things attract me. I love for the music to take me on a roller coaster of thought and enhance my view of the culture. I'd like to share with you bits of my music culture and see if you can join my wave of rhythm. An example of music that is important to me.
